Inspiration Scandi style

We are really inspired by all things Scandi. The clean lines, the lack of clutter and the simple colour palette make us want to paint our whole house white and fill it with new things. Unfortunately that’s not also possible but what is possible is to find key pieces, which encapsulate the essence of Scandinavian style but also fit in with current decorating schemes.

The use of prints and textiles

We love the use of prints and textiles in this room (Above), found over on thatnordicfeeling.com, it just makes us want to light a few candles and read a good book.

Whilst stalking the brilliant blog over on myscandinavianhome.com, old meets new just perfectly here (Right).

In The Shop

A great way to achieve similar looks is by adding small touches to your existing schemes, such as cushions or throws. We have a great selection over in the shop, We particularly love the Congo and Emperor cushions. Another common trend with the Scaninavian look is the use of prints and artwork. Simple black and white with a pop of colour look great with a simple white palette.

We have this amazing print for sale in the shop and it would look great up on the wall or as one of a selection on a ledge shelf. We’d love to see you take on the Scandi look so don’t forget to tag us in your photos #estilostyle
